Mike Johnson Just Admitted The GOP Healthcare Plan Is A Trojan Horse For A National Abortion Ban We are looking at a party that is ontologically committed to increasing human suffering while hiding behind the aesthetic of moral righteousness. Johnson talks about the ‘sanctity of life’ but look at their material actions. They oppose universal healthcare. They oppose food stamps. They oppose housing assistance. The only time the state interests them is when it can be used as a bludgeon to control the reproductive choices of the working class. It is authoritarianism wrapped in a Sunday school lesson. They do not want to reduce abortions by improving material conditions; they want to criminalize existence for anyone who doesn’t fit their narrow view of nuclear family subservience. It is performative cruelty.
