#MAGA folks actually love pollution to air, water and ground, to help billionaires! A federal appeals court has unanimously blocked the Trump administration's Environmental Protection Agency from eliminating limits on fine particulate matter pollution, commonly known as soot. Three judges. Three votes against the rollback. Zero dissent.
The unanimity matters. A 3-0 ruling is not a narrow legal decision where judges are divided on how to weigh competing interests. It is a court saying clearly and without qualification that what the EPA was attempting to do was not legally permissible. When judges appointed by administrations of different political parties reach the same conclusion without disagreement the legal reasoning tends to be on solid ground. #Environment #EPA

The people who breathe the air in communities near highways and industrial facilities and power plants did not follow this case through the federal court system. They went about their lives. The court just made a decision that affects the air they breathe. That is what environmental law does when it works.
