The estate of Isaac Hayes sued Donald Trump for the unauthorized use of the 1966 soul song “Hold On, I’m Coming,” which was co-written by Hayes and performed by Sam & Dave. The lawsuit alleged that the campaign used the song at over 130 rallies without permission. The case was settled privately in February 2026.
