It is too easy to despair right now, with a would-be fascist government in Washington. But, even in these dark times, there are reasons to hope. All over America, there are rallies and protests in favor of immigrant rights, and in protest of Trump’s brutally inhuman policy of separating children from their parents—and all those rallies and protests are beautiful, brave, and true.

We had one here in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Saturday. Our own Matt Blanchfield was there and provided these wonderful pictures and videos of honest, outraged people, standing up for those who are the most vulnerable among us.

So, if you’re having trouble with the Monday morning blues, glance at these images and feel better. There are still heroes among us.
