Persuade, Don’t Insult

Social Media is loaded with celebrities and common folks hurling curses and names at Trump. I do not give those posts a like and I certainly do not share them. I deplore Trump on a personal level for his failings as a decent human being and on the political level for his deplorable policies and attacks on the fundamentals of our democracy. Cursing him might lower you anger level, but it only strengthens his supporters to more fervently defend him. We opponents of the man and his policies must resist by offering logic for why we abhor his policies and behavior. The only way to convince a supporter to change their opinion of Trump is with the facts and evidence that proves those facts. Curses and name calling are the least effective ways to change the attitudes and minds of people who voted for Trump. Stop insulting them and start showing them why they need to vote against Trump going forward.
