News Outlets are reporting that George Floyd and Derek Chauvin knew each other. Both had worked security at a local club. According co-workers, Floyd had objected when Chauvin was extremely aggressive with patrons. They had, according to one story, “bumped heads” over it.
If this is the case, then it means that there was a touch of vengeance in Chauvin’s “accidental” killing of Floyd.
How this will impact the case against the officer is anyone’s guess at this point. But it will surely not help his defense.
